Dentures in York, Toronto
Dentures replace several or all of your teeth with a removable appliance, restoring your ability to chew and speak clearly and supporting the natural shape of your face.
The difference between dentures you tolerate and dentures you forget you are wearing is the fit. We take the time over impressions, try-ins and adjustments to get it right.
Options we provide
- Complete (full) dentures for an upper or lower arch
- Partial dentures that clasp onto remaining natural teeth
- Immediate dentures fitted at the time of extractions
- Implant-retained dentures that snap securely in place
- Relines, repairs and replacement of worn dentures
Settling in
New dentures feel bulky for the first week or two and can cause sore spots as your gums adapt. That is normal and easily adjusted — never file a denture yourself. Start with soft foods cut small, practise reading aloud, and come back for the follow-up visits we schedule.
Looking after them
Clean dentures daily over a sink of water with a denture brush, leave them out overnight in a soaking solution, and keep your regular check-ups so we can monitor your gums and refit as the ridge changes shape.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to get dentures?
Typically four to six appointments over several weeks, covering impressions, a wax try-in for shape and shade, fitting, and adjustments.
Can you repair a cracked denture?
Often yes, and quickly. Bring it in — do not glue it, as household adhesives make a proper repair harder.
Are dentures covered by the CDCP?
Dentures are covered in part under the Canadian Dental Care Plan for eligible patients. We check your coverage and explain any balance up front.
